VDL AEC Maritime Accelerates Growth with Relocation to New Office Headquarters at Business Park De Hurk in Eindhoven

20 July 2018

EINDHOVEN - Due to the rapid expansion of VDL AEC Maritime, who specializes in the production of scrubbers for the maritime industry, the company was relocated in early May. The new location at Meerenakkerweg 30 in Eindhoven offers sufficient space for further expansion of the company.

VDL AEC Maritime has experienced great growth in the last year. With the production of scrubbers, for the maritime industry, the company makes a major contribution to a cleaner environment. This is achieved by significantly reducing the air pollution of ships. The rapid expansion of the company is mainly due to international laws and regulations requiring ships to reduce emissions.

"The relocation to a larger office was the right step at the right time. With VDL AEC Maritime, we needed an office with a professional look, which offers more space as well as a pleasant location to receive customers. Of course we want to invite everyone to come and have a look.", says Kevin Kuijs, company director of VDL AEC Maritime.

Since September 2017, VDL AEC Maritime is part of the VDL Groep, an international industrial family company with 99 operating companies spread over 20 countries and with over 17,000 employees. It is a bundling of flexible, independent companies, each with their own specialism. The strength of VDL Groep lies in this mutual cooperation between the different companies.

By combining the strengths of VDL Groep and AEC Maritime, the company has gained considerable strength. The new branch of VDL AEC Maritime at business park De Hurk is located in between many other VDL companies and across the street from the head office of VDL Groep.

Testimonial

“We were intrigued by the simplicity of the AEC scrubbing system. Their technology works without filters. There is no pollution on the deck, no filters to clean and no maintenance. After testing the AEC closed loop scrubber on the Schleswig-Holstein we were so convinced, we orders scrubbing systems for three more vessels.”

Fini Alsted Hansen, Technical Superintendent Fleet Management at Scandlines.
